Founded in 2024 by Milica Mitrovic, Blue Avenue is a nomadic gallery dedicated to reimagining how art is experienced and collected. Through exhibitions in distinctive venues, participation in international art fairs, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, the gallery creates immersive and distinctive experiences around discovering and collecting contemporary art.

Curation is central to the gallery's vision and the narratives it develops, whether through exhibitions or collaborative projects. Rather than seeing the white cube as the only framework for exhibiting art, the gallery program seeks to place artworks in dialogue with different spaces, disciplines and audiences, allowing each context to reveal new perspectives while remaining faithful to the artist's work. This vision offers the freedom to explore unexpected synergies between contemporary art, collectible design and unique interiors.

Founder

Milica Mitrović


Milica Mitrovic is a cultural professional, gallerist and curator based in Paris. Before founding Blue Avenue in 2024, she built an international career in cultural and educational project management, notably working with UNESCO on initiatives that promote cultural diversity, ethical use of new technologies, and the safeguarding of intangible heritage. Milica holds a Master Degree in Geopolitics of Art and Culture from Université Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle. Her dissertation examined the legal, operational and sociological frameworks of Looting and the Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Property in Times of War. She also attended advanced studies in Cultural Policies at Université Paris VII Diderot and majored in Spanish Language and Hispanic Literatures at the University of Belgrade. She speaks English, French, Spanish and Serbian.

Guided by a lifelong passion for art and classical music, and shaped by a rich exposure to diverse cultural expressions through her travels and work, Milica founded Blue Avenue Gallery with the intention of creating a space where meaningful encounters take place and art is experienced with authenticity and constant reinvention. The gallery reflects her belief that collecting is both a personal journey and a dialogue between cultures, generations and ideas.
